Welcome to The Tyrian Veil: an Immersive RP, open ERP, Hannish-inspired FFXIV bath house with lasting stories in mind. Rules

  1. No Lalafels. We recognize that they can and often are portrayed as adults, but they are not for The Tyrian Veil. This is the preference of our Free Company members.

  2. All guests and portrayed characters must be 21+ for entry. Absolutely no underage players or portrayed characters are allowed within the venue or its associated Discord.

  3. Consent is key. As this is an open ERP venue, there is a certain amount of implied consent to seeing sexual content on entry. However, any guest may either explicitly express their non-consent or revoke their consent at any time. In such a case, all participants are expected to stop the related activity.

  4. There is a zero-tolerance policy for homophobia, sexism, racism, xenophobia, or transphobia at The Tyrian Veil. We welcome and embrace our LBGTQ+ and other minority guests. Anyone within our walls not sharing that view will be removed--period.

  5. Try to limit OOC chatter in public channels. There are plenty of other places for out-of-character chit-chat. We want the focus to be on IC interactions!

  6. Extreme kinks should be kept to /party or /tell. There isn't an exhaustive list of what is considered "extreme", but you can run it by a staff member if you're unsure. We're happy to help!

  7. Dismiss minions and hide your weapons. Exceptions for minions that directly tie to character lore in a meaningful or venue-relevant way may be made.

Additionally, please make use of our tagging system to communicate with others that you would like to write.If you use no tag, our staff and other patrons should assume you don't want to be bothered and are not available for role-play.

FAQ

What should I expect from staff at Tyrian?

Staff at Tyrian are volunteers. They aren't expected to serve any guests beyond who they choose to. Our staff are encouraged to spend time doing what they enjoy rather than being expected to artificially engage with patrons.

However, if you are feeling uncomfortable, unsafe, or have a question please contact a member of our staff (marked with a green hex) and we will be happy to assist you!

What is "Immersive RP"?

"Immersive RP" means that everyone within Tyrian is "in-character". This isn't a hang-out or a player chat venue. We expect everyone to be playing an original character within our walls by using dialogue in quotations and describing their character's actions.

Out-of-character public chat should be kept to a minimum, in accordance with our rules.

What should I expect to read at Tyrian?

Explicit erotic roleplay is common. It isn't a requirement by any means and many of our regulars enjoy ongoing stories that aren't erotic on a given night.

You may encounter violence at Tyrian. It's not uncommon for a fight to break out at the bar if the bartwink is feeling particularly fiesty and someone he has history with is across the counter. We aren't a fight venue, but believe in actions having consequences in roleplay.

Expect to see some kink in public chat. Characters with exotic genitalia, light bondage, and occasional light injury are acceptable. If what you're unsure about what you want to write in public chat, you are always welcome to run it by a member of staff (marked with a green hex).

Drugs are allowed within Tyrian. That said, this isn't a drug den. If your character is caught using something harder than cigarettes or cigars, there may be in-character consequences from one of our staff members for role-play purposes.

Are you hiring?

Yes and no.

There's no application. We would prefer to see regulars become interested in a staff position and feel comfortable organically offering it to them. These are volunteer positions. We have no plans to make them gil-paid positions at this time.
